“supporting recovery through music”
Project summary,
- Original songs will be written for the CD. We would use ‘session players’ to record the music which would be sent to the kids and celebrities to practice. The number of songs that all would be actually recording together is to be determined. Recording would be done a month or so later in the studio. Our goal is to duplicate this with various other celebrities and kids in satellite studios in LA and New York with our ‘master production’ studio being in Nashville.
- If a celebrity cannot ‘join us’ in the studio for direct participation we will attempt to get them to sing or ‘lip synch’ (for DVD) a couple of lines to one or two of the songs from wherever we can get it, concert, event, home studio, etc. We can mix in tracks, and add video, if we get it, to the DVD. This may include friends of the fallen from NASCAR singing a line or two during a race weekend or NFL players doing same before a summer practice session, a film star on the set, etc. It may be that some do not sing but simply provide a video tribute and words of support to the kids.
- OEC will of course be handling the logistics of bringing in the kids, food, accommodations if needed, security, other celebrity needs, etc.
These are a few preliminary ideas and we are committed to assembling a team that can make this happen. You know the great hardships our men and woman in uniform face everyday. You also know the great sacrifice that our wounded, our fallen and their families have made. If they can do that for our children we will make this happen for theirs.
