Mission Statement:

Operation Ensuring Christmas provides financial, moral and rehabilitative
support to the Children of Fallen American Troops by providing them
Christmas Gift Cards at Christmas and a ‘Christmas in July’, VIP theme
park trip to Orlando Florida. This support is to help them recover from
the grief and trauma caused by the ultimate sacrifice a child can make
for their country...the loss of a parent in war.

Operation Ensuring Christmas was founded for the purpose of bringing a
 little extra joy to children who have lost a parent in Iraq or Afghanistan after
 9/11. For many it will be their first Christmas without a father or a mother. 

These Children have made the Ultimate Sacrifice that a child can make
for their country, the loss of a parent in service to our nation in a time of war.
The grief and trauma they suffer is often compounded by the tragic
way their parents have died in combat. They are constantly reminded in
graphic ways through the intense media coverage of the war in pictures
and graphic detail of how their parents suffered. You can make a difference
in the lives of these children by helping them escape for a while and
help them to be kids again. 

Many of these children have fallen through the cracks and did not receive
substantial benefits following their loss. Your donation will help to put a
few extra gifts under the tree this Christmas and bring a lil extra Christmas
cheer to these very special children. This may also be the only way they
ever get to experience a Theme Park vacation that so many of us take for
granted. Their parents gave their lives for our "pursuit of happiness". Let's
be sure that their children have the same opportunity.

OEC began with just a website on the internet in 2002 asking donations be 
sent to other fallen troop family support organizations. OEC began the full
time process of becoming an official 501-c3 tax exempt organization in
2004 and was granted 501-c3 tax exempt status in January 2006, retroactive
to February 2005. OEC now sanctions or holds fund raising events around 
the country. We were thanked by the President for our efforts at the White 
House and have been featured in National Media. Through OEC the children 
are supported directly or indirectly by NFL, NBA, and MLB teams, NASCAR, 
various Foundations, Corporations and wonderful individual Americans 
who believe in our purpose. While we appreciate all of this support there 
are still so many children who need your help.

We send the children $100.00 Christmas Gift Cards purchased with donations, 
grants and other revenue received at O. E. C. This is the most efficient and cost effective way to get these children the presents they have asked Santa to bring them for Christmas. We all know and love the look of our child's face when they open a Christmas gift. Any problems or heartache seem to fade away even if only for a while as they excitedly open their presents. Let's bring these moments of joy to the faces of these very special children.

We have been sending some of these precious children to Orlando Florida
for their much deserved 'Christmas in July' Theme Park vacation with 
arrangements made through *AAA Travel, a well respected national travel 
agency. The children Ride, Spin and Splash their way to being "kids again". 
This is a huge project in the works from Santa. We need your help to 
continue scheduling more VIP vacations for these 'precious lil hereos'.
We are indebted to these children for the sacrifices they have made for 
you and I. Let's not let this sacrifice and this debt go unpaid. Your donation
provides a direct benefit to the children that they can appreciate and enjoy now.
